Get involved with the FPOA by joining our Volunteer Team to make a positive impact! Enjoy training, free lunches, leadership roles, time transfer potential, and family-friendly perks in a welcoming environment.

Events

FPOA Retirement Dinner (January) – A formal evening honoring retiring officers with dinner, dancing, and heartfelt speeches that celebrate their dedication and service. This special event fosters camaraderie and appreciation within the department.
FPOA Memorial Golf Tournament (April) – Join us for a day of golf, friendly competition, and camaraderie, all in support of the FPOA Memorial Scholarship Programs, benefiting the education of our members’ children. After the tournament, enjoy a lively Caddyshack-style afterparty with a delicious BBQ dinner, fun games, and plenty of laughs to wrap up an unforgettable day!
FPOA Poker Tournament (June) – An exciting night of poker that brings members and non-members together to enjoy friendly competition, strengthen community ties, and raise funds for the Fresno Police Officers Foundation.
FPOA Tailgates (Fall) – A relaxed, game-day gathering for officers to connect, socialize, and enjoy classic tailgate food and games, promoting camaraderie and department spirit.

Programs

FPOA Picnic (Fall) – Our annual family picnic offers BBQ, games, and themed activities, creating a relaxed and fun day for officers, their families, and department staff. With a kids’ splash zone, competitions, and more, this event builds morale and bonds within the department.
Patrol Matrix (December) – The Patrol Matrix is a day for patrol officers to come together, sign up for their days off, and enjoy camaraderie with fellow officers. Hosted by the FPOA, the event features provided meals, snacks, and a relaxed atmosphere. Officers can connect, plan, and support each other while exploring booths and vendors offering resources and items of interest to attendees.
FPOA Christmas Open House (December) – A festive holiday event exclusively for FPOA members, sponsors, and local officials, featuring cocktails and small bites. This gathering celebrates the season and fosters connections and appreciation among members and supporters.
Kids' Christmas Party (December) – A festive holiday event bringing together FPOA members, sponsors, local officials, and community leaders. With cocktails, small bites, and great company, it’s a chance to celebrate the season, connect, and show appreciation for the support that makes our community strong.
KOPOUT Magazine – Our quarterly publication for officers and support staff, offering updates from FPOA leadership, legal insights, and officer profiles. It keeps the team informed and connected, fostering pride in department achievements.
BBQ Program – Led by the FPOA First Vice President and staffed by officers, this program serves community favorites like tri-tip and sausage sandwiches, building positive connections through shared meals.
Scholarship Program – Supported by funds from the annual FPOA Memorial Golf Tournament, this program provides scholarships to the children and grandchildren of officers, as well as financial support to member families pursuing education. By investing in their futures, we encourage academic excellence and a strong sense of community among the next generation.
